Swiss Foreign Policy Between Neutrality and Internationalism

Prof. Dr. Sacha Zala, Historian, Director of the Research Centre Diplomatic Documents of
Switzerland (Dodis), Professor at the University of Bern and President of the Swiss Society for
History will give a lecture entitled « Swiss Foreign Policy Between Neutrality and
Internationalism », which is an overview of foreign policy from its beginnings and in particular in
the 20th century.
The second part of his talk will be dedicated to a brief presentation of the Dodis online resources, where we could find documents regarding all aspects of Swiss Foreign Policy.
The Dodis research center is an institute of the Swiss Academy of Humanities and Social
Sciences. As a centre of excellence for studies in the history of Swiss foreign policy, Dodis
conducts basic research on the contemporary history of Switzerland since 1848.
